The Peninsula has been named BEST RESORT in Delaware for its world-class amenities and for its distinctive and luxurious design. The first thing you see as you enter the gated Peninsula grounds is a beautiful fountain followed by a tree lined, elegant main "esplanade"-which leads thorough the resort…a combination of beautiful homes, natural settings, nature paths, etc. For the holidays, the evening view is spectacular with lighted trees for each community. In the spring, colorful tulips and spring flowers greet you. As you enjoy the beauty of the surroundings as you drive up the esplanade, you feel your body relax and stress disappear.
WHAT DOES THE PENINSULA OFFER?
Where to begin? The Peninsula is a large, gated country club community. It contains a Jack Nicholas Signature Golf Course that winds between the homes, woodlands, and marshes of the development with frequent water views of ponds, but also views of the Indian River Bay, a large bay flowing into the Atlantic Ocean. Sunrises at the Peninsula are spectacular as are moonlit nights.
If you aren’t a golfer, it doesn’t matter. There are many opportunities for recreational activities at the resort AND OUR CONDO IS WALKING DISTANCE TO THESE AMENITIES AS WELL AS THE CLUBHOUSE.

NEARBY PLACES TO VISIT and DAY TRIPS
Tangier shopping outlets are 15-20 minutes away. Delaware has tax free shopping so it the item cost $25 that is what you pay…no tax. For swimming in large waves, Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, and Lewes Beach are all about a half hour drive away. Along the route 1 corridor connecting the various beach towns are the outlets and many stores and restaurants and tourist attractions. The little town of Millsboro is 10 minutes away and has many antique shops and an inexpensive old-fashioned bowling alley. There is a modern, more expensive one called Lefty’s on Route 1. There is a water slide park on Route 1, goofy golf, movies, go cart racing, etc.
The Peninsula is located on the Eastern Shore, a large, interesting part of the country south of Philadelphia and Wilmington and across the Chesapeake Bay from Baltimore, Annapolis, and DC. From our condo, you can take many day trips to places on the eastern shore as well as along the Atlantic coast. The spring and fall off season are great times to visit. The weather is good, rates are low, and there is a lot to do within a one or two hours’ drive.
Day trips from the condo include the nautical town of St. Michael's Maryland, the Salisbury zoo and Ward Waterfowl Museum, Ocean City Md, the quaint towns of Berlin, MD, Lewes, DE, Milton, DE and many, many more. Go to Dover, DE and see the Air Mobility Command Museum or head to northern Delaware area for the famous Longwood Gardens, Winterthur museum and gardens, or the Hagley Museum. Take the ferry across the Delaware Bay, enjoy the boat ride, and go to the Victorian town of Cape May, New Jersey- a great day trip. South is the Chincoteague National Wildlife Area, NASA’s Wallops Island, and Assateague Island. Locals even take a bus trip to New York City for the day. My condo can be your place to relax after a busy day sightseeing. Unlike many states, the geography, the history, and the interesting sites are many and varied within short distances from the Peninsula. There is something for everyone nearby.
Off season there are many festivals and special events year-round in the Rehoboth area. In the fall, the Jazz Festival and Sea Witch Festival are very, very popular. In the spring, the kite festival at Cape Henlopen State Park is a wonderful event for adults and children. Nearby towns also have special events. For example, there is an Apple Scrapple festival in Bridgeville, DE, colonial Dover Days in Dover, Delaware, Fifer Farms Fall Fest, and many, many more special events. What is special about all these events, is there is a small town flavor to them. They are not commercialized and great for families and people wanting to enjoy a week-end away.
